NEWS Febuary 2, 2005 Hey everyone I am proud to announce that the new Mopery site has been launched into progress along with our new full length album's debut! Let us know how you like either in the guestbook. We will be selling CDs at our next show in March at Sacred Grounds for $7. If you are one of the first 20 people to buy a CD though, we will give you a discount of $2! The CD has 13 tracks complete with new and old songs all compiled together. It's taken us a very long time to put this out as many of you know and for which we apologize but we promise you won't be dissappointed. -------------------------------------------------- NEWS December 19, 2004 Why hello everyone. Yeah shutup I know its been like wayyyyy too long since we've updated but we hold the power so meow. Even though we are finally updating I am sad to say that we bring you bad news... ***On January 15th, 2005 Mopery WILL NOT be performing at the Utility Hall with riverden, stygian, and opitemy for personal reasons.*** Do not fret, we will be back and playing more shows than ever soon. No new gigs are posted for now and this and next month are going to be a bit slow for us. We are finishing up our album (for real this time haha) and we should have it out hopefully soon for you guys. We wrote an awesome new song called As the Pendullum Swings... Hopefully everyone will like it. We all think its one of our best songs yet. Another thing is that I threw Behind Your Smile up on Purevolume for everyone to listen to and made that along with kNOwONE downloadable for everyone. You'll have to wait for the rest of the songs. All of you who showed up to support us just blew me away friday night... Just unbeleiveable how much crowd response we got form you guys. Oh and id also like to thank those of you who donated some money to me for the $150 goal for the lukemia society. I really hate asking people for money and i truely appreciate those of you who put up some cash. That is all. -kevy k --------------------------------------------------- NEWS March 15th, 2004 Hey a few new updates. First off we got a new site to host our mp3s from instead of pahardcore. It's Purevolume.com. Why? you may ask. Well we have a few people who just plain hate us. And those people... Happen to have no lives which is the worst kind of person. They spend a good portion of there day voting over and over again until we were ranked 1/10 (only 400 plays... yet 5000+ votes). They also having been spamming and trashing the comment box and our guestbook as well. Since paharcore doesn't have any system of blocking/flitering, we decided to find something new. The purevolume site is now able to be viewed although we still have one or two more songs to upload and a little bit of updates in the shows section. You can view it hear: www.purevolume.com/mopery Aside from online updates, we also have completed the rest of the songs for our album (woot). It took long enough, but they just wrote themselves all within one afternoon. They will remain nameless until the debute of the entire album. We still are not positive when it will come out and we apologize for the long delay. Echo studios (which we insist to stay loyal to) was temporarily close for about a month. Now it is still under work in the recording rooms. Within the next week or two it should be finished and we will book the next two days asap to finish up recording. Yeah its been a while since our last post (thanx for reminding me robyn lol). Hmm so lets see what happened. Well basicly after that big snow storm that cancelled our recording date we've been trying to get a new date booked. Of course we assumed we could get this Saturday, but noooo someone already booked it. So now... Set and fineto... Official... We are booked for the 27th of December. Okay okay so now that thats said there are some new things happening with Mopery. First off we are trying to put together a few gigs (top secret). But I'm trying to throw some HUGE gig up here with a local band everyone loves known as Lucky #2, and of course Mopery. It'l be held up where i am living. I know it kinda far away but heres the plan: Since our band is new up here i figure included in the price of tickets will be the fair for a bus ride for everyone in the Bucks area (basiclly all of our fans) that wana go. It'l be really kickass and one amazing night. Other than that Mopery has written a new song soon to be complete which will remain nameless for now. It's hardcore and really good so you'll hear it soon at our next few shows. Another thing is i have been talking to this girl lately that i mentioned above breifly... Robyn... she's a kickass fan that started talking to us that the whole band's goten pretty close to. She's a great singer and trying to hook up some really amazing band. We had the idea to take her in for a song or two of ours to widen our style and do something a little more different (don't worry.. still energetic as always). I assure you, you won't be let down. This Saurday Mopery heads to the studio to begin to record for our new album. We will be recording over the course of a few weeks about every other weekend. Anyways, I'd like to give a BIG thanks to everyone who showed up last friday for simstock, you guys are amazing. I'd also like to give a huge thanks to IAN SIMS for putting that show together, you are a genius. Ok, so for the next few weeks we are going to finish writing and rehearsing for our new album, due out in early 2004, which will feature 12 tracks including the re-recorded 4 on our first cd, plus 8 BRAND NEW songs that have never been recorded. Ok so if you for whatever reason tried to get on here earlier, and you couldent, thats because cjb had a seizure and was down for a bit. But no worries, if your here now, then the problem is solved. Ok, so i got some news, Bri has informed me that Seducing Eve and one of thier aphilliates is teaming up with us to rent out polanka park for a show sometime in the NEAR future, so keep your fingers crossed for that. I am going to be passing out flyers all this week with information about the show on June 6th. The site is looking pretty sweet after kev's tweaking with the flash and imaging huh. Props to him. Well, most of the pages are up n running now. Kev helped out alot with them cause quite frankly... I'm a lazy jackass. Anyway, yeah i went over for my picture at kev's yesterday and we made a pretty sweet new song. A little lighter than our others but very good. Called half tone. Check it out. Shirts are in the process of being ordered right now so hip hip horray! What else what else hmm lemme think... OH YEAH We are in an alliance with Seducing eve... Apparently, this summer us and a few other bands from the area or Jersey are renting out a place in Bensalem called Polanka Park. It will be NUTS. Around 300 people show up per show! INSANITY yeah w/e but we are all pretty happy about that. And yeah everyone in the band is going to hang me for posting this lol but i have to.... HAPPY 1 MONTH HANNAH. I love U. We are in the process of taking individual pictures and they will be up gradually as we take them as well as many other pictures in a section called, you guessed it, pictures. Due to me not having the money yet, I cant order the shirts for like another day or so, but don't worry we will have shirts in time for the show. By the way, I replaced the logo on the right with a nice little flash animation I made, if you can't see it, you need to downloaad flash player(available on the splash page), or you won't be able to see it. Lol, just kidding man. Any ways, I'm putting in the order for the t-shirts in like 2 days and they well be here in a week. They are are all black, and come in medium and large in mens, and also medium ladies, it will have our logo(seen on the right) on the front. We are still writing and practicing like crazies, and we plan to hit the studio in the next upcoming weeks. About the show, we are playing first if im not mistaken, so you have to be there around 6:30. we will hang out afterwards to see anyone and we will probly be selling something. Okay out of the personal into the band. We just completed a sweet, mean song (wow that was like some messed up oxymoron) called "The Plague". You'l love it. The website... Oh yes. All hail Kev for desiging it. Pretty sweet huh. Yeah only a few of the sites branching from here are working right now... Tonight I'l work on the Shows section and maybe a little of the Contact us part. Pictures for the band section wil be coming in around late tommorow early sunday. So far its all compliments for this site so the band is pretty stoked... As for now i have work to do. Keep in touch -Bri ------------------------------------------------------- NEWS    April 10, 2003      Hey all the site is up and running.  Everyone please come support us at Sacred Grounds on June 6th.  Don't forget.  This will be a metal show you won't want to miss.  Mopery is playing with Disengage and Seducing EVE!   Tickets are pretty cheap so why not kill some time n show up?  Show some love. Here's the break down:      Mopery (meaning exposing yourself to a blind person) is a new metal band set out to mix all of those solos you've been forgetting about with a unique aproach on style and variety.  With people like Kev, who will never seem to let the fire die down, you'l want a crave of this energy.   The band has only been together since early Febuary. Apparently my brother (the only one with proffessional web design talent) is not going to help us out anymore. YAY. If you couldn't tell, that was sarcasm. So I have been sitting here for about 3 hours trying to figure out wtf to do. So I am seeing if i can regain my long lost skills back. So either way I'm pretty happy. This weekend we are recording on CDs for the first time. So we should have those ready to sell by the SG gig. DON"T FORGET TO COME. Hold on, phone.... Oh hey I'm back. Yeah that was God. He said quote "They better all come to your fucking gig. If they go else where, we will see how they like it when there is no home when they get back... just ashes."
